While going through your hair queries last night, I landed on an email where a 19-year-old college student desiring the perfect silky hair but couldn’t afford the added expense. I thought let’s share a completely natural way of doing hair smoothening at home.

How To Do Parlour Like Hair Smoothening At Home
To do hair smoothening at home, I am going to share a quick and easy to do a homemade hair mask. By using this mask regularly you will notice that your hair will not only become completely frizz-free but will also appear smoother and straighter too.
Ingredients
To make this homemade hair smoothening pack you will need:
- Coconut Milk: 1 cup
- Jasmine Water: 2 tsp (Optional)
- Rose Petal Powder: 2 tsp
- Cornflour: 1 tsp
- Honey: 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice: 1 tsp

I know the list of ingredients is a bit longer than usual but trust me, this hair mask will completely transform your hair.
Directions
To make this hair smoothening pack, we will begin by making coconut milk. I just finely grate the coconut skin and add little water. Then strain the entire thing and use the milk. But you can prefer whatever way works for you.
Next we will add cornflour and rose petal powder to it and mix it thoroughly.
After this, we will add honey, jasmine water, and lemon juice.
Mix all these ingredients well to form a thick paste.
Your hair smoothening mask is ready to use.

How To Apply This Hair Smoothening Pack?
To apply this mask, make sure your hair is oil-free and detangled.
Begin by partying smaller sections of hair. Cover each and every hair strand perfectly from root to the end. Don’t worry if this hair mask touches your scalp it won’t harm or disturb its PH level. It’s completely safe.
Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave this mask on for good 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes, remove the shower cap and give some steam to ensure that the hair mask penetrates deep within and you get the best results. I personally use my thermal steam cap and give steam for 10 minutes.
Then rinse the mask using cold water and shampoo your like you normally would. Don’t use harsh shampoos otherwise it will remove the effect of the mask. Try opting for mild herbal sls free shampoo or a shampoo that contains natural oils as its main ingredients.

Apply this mask twice a month and you will start noticing the results from the first try itself. The reason I am asking to apply twice a month is because it is a natural hair mask and needs reapplication to achieve and maintain the desired results.
